The Interfaith & Outreach Committee of Al-Noor Islamic Center  aims to foster a better understanding of Islam and Muslims among our friends and neighbors of different faiths. We organize several community outreach programs throughout the year and our highlight event if the year is the Open House. We also participate in events that benefit the community at large such as community meals, blood drive and cooking for shelters.

We are proud to be a part of the Cedar Valley Interfaith Council and Women of Faith  organizations that focus on building mutual respect and understanding among people of different faiths in the  Cedar Valley area.

Islam has long espoused open dialog and the Quran states,

“O people! Behold, we have created you from a male and a female and have made you into nations and tribes so that you might come to know one another. Verily, the noblest of you in the sight of God is the one who is most deeply conscious of God. Behold, God is all-knowing, all-aware.” [Qur’an 49:13]
